Gold Rush Days have Arrived!

We want your participation in Gold Rush Days to be as easy as possible.   Here are the details for Parking, Deliveries and Lunch, as well as links to the finalized Stage and Street schedules for all three days.

Entertainer Survival Guide: http://redbarnproductions.org/GRD11ENTSurvivalGuideV3.pdf

Street Schedule: http://redbarnproductions.org/GRD2011StreetSchedule5.pdf

Stage Schedule: http://redbarnproductions.org/GRD2011StageSchedule5.pdf

Participant Parking area at the California Automobile Museum: http://calautomuseum.org/CAM_Directions.pdf

Highlights from the Survival Guide are below - be sure to download the PDF from the link above for full supporting information!

Participant Parking:  Corner of Front and Broadway. Our new lot is under the 80 freeway (shaded).  The signs say AMPCO PARKING.  For online directions use the address at the California Auto Museum (CAM) 2200 Front Street, Sac. 95818 http://g.co/maps/s8ne and look next door.  DO NOT park at the museum in asphalt spaces (dirt lot by museum where horse trailers park is okay for overflow if needed). You may also park all day on the STREET in this area! Thanks for your understanding. Parking in old town is extremely limited.

Shuttle Information:  A 2-van shuttle operation will be in service from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  Look for for pick-up points at the Shelter at the AMPCO lot - AND - at the curb by the California Auto Museum.

Deliveries:   You may deliver EARLY to the Eagle Theater. You'll need your parking pass, just give the security guard at 2nd & I (by the RR Museum) your group name as Red Barn Productions.  You MUST be out before 9:00 AM.

Lunch:  Go to Volunteer Registration (behind the Eagle across the alley) and sign in there to receive your lunch vouchers.   Hospitality (food service) is there, too.   Lunch will be served from 11 - 3.

Burning Brothel - some help still needed

Friends, we have the potential for a runaway hit, but still need some help!

  • We need a bath brush and a bath sponge.
  • We need some of the same make up the dickens chimney sweeps use to add an artistic touch or two of soot.
  • We need a couple of Gentlemen to join the balcony party, then exit downstairs.  One hurries off, refusing to run for the firewagon (the cad!) and the other ducks into the building to steer customers to the correct side of our view cut (actually a VITAL role to sell the show).
  • We need anyone who can take a sound file I send you and make it so we can cue up a 3 second long crash.  We also need some speakers to amplify the sound.
  • We need 3 - 4 additional crowd control people to work directly with Andrew Patterson, our Stage Manager, to keep the show safe and running on time.
  • We need WILLING HANDS on Friday afternoon to help me make the balcony safe from cables and tripping hazards, clear out the back staircase we're using, AND help make gypsy rope as crowd control barriers to be used for the gunfights and the Burning Brothel.  Please e-mail or phone me using the info below so we can arrange to meet up.
  • We ALSO need more fabric: beige, brown, tan, white, off white - precut strips 3' long and 2" wide would be a HUGE help!!!  But uncut pieces of fabric would also be GLADLY received, colored as mentioned.
  • Colored masking tape (any color is fine) and some duct tape are also needed to define our playing zone on the balcony.

If you can help on any of the above, please e-mail Julie St. Germaine at blaziak@yahoo.com OR call her at (510) 847-7223.

Please be specific as to what help you can offer.

Final news and schedule:

  • 0900 SATURDAY run-through so show up VERY early because of parking changes and possible delays.  #1 Priority is to rehearse ladder carries with the Firemen and our two fearless females:  Nancy Longo and Todi Mariani.
  • 0900 SUNDAY local news shoot.
  • Our shows start with the crowd gathering "pre-show" at 11:00 and 3:45 on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, same times every day.
  • Stay tuned for Burning Brothel (BB) bulletin with running order coming out by Wednesday a.m.
  • See some of you on FRIDAY and all of you on Saturday at 0900 at Evangeline's.

Thanks in advance for supporting this entertaining and important street show!
~Julie
